Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Catarina International LLC ("TaskBullet", "we", "us"), the operator of the TaskBullet application and the taskbullet.app website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms and describes how we handle your data.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
- One account is for one person. Do not share credentials.
3. Trial, subscription, and billing
- New accounts include a free trial period with full access to the Service. The length of the trial is shown when you sign up.
- After the trial, continued access requires an active subscription. Monthly and annual plans are available; the current prices, billing period, and any applicable taxes are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase.
- Payments are processed by Stripe or by the app store through which you subscribed. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
- You can cancel at any time from the app or from your app store account. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Except where required by law or where a purchase was made in error and reported promptly, fees already paid are non-refundable. Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to those stores' refund policies.
- We may change prices or plans with at least 30 days' notice. A price change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.
- If your trial or subscription expires, your data is preserved and access is restored as soon as you subscribe.
4. Your content
You own everything you write in TaskBullet. We claim no ownership over your entries, notes, or any other content you create.
You grant us only the narrow, revocable licence strictly necessary to operate the Service for you: to store your content, transmit it between your devices, back it up, and display it back to you. This licence exists solely to deliver the Service and ends when you delete your content or your account.
This licence does not permit us to publish, sell, share, or license your content, nor to use it to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. We will not seek such rights through a future update to these Terms without your explicit, separate, opt-in consent.
You are responsible for the legality of what you store. You must not use the Service to store content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the Service to harm, harass, or defraud anyone;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or bypass our access controls, rate limits, or paywall;
- access another user's account or data;
- use automated systems to scrape the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- resell or sublicense access to the Service.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data before it shuts down.
7. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for how deletion works.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these Terms, that we are legally required to terminate, or that is used to attack or abuse the Service. Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 4, 8, 9, and 10 survive.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. TaskBullet is a journalling tool; it is not a medical, psychological, legal, or financial service, and nothing in it constitutes professional advice.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We maintain backups, but we do not guarantee that data can always be recovered.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catarina International LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In those places, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Catarina International LLC in its place of registration, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved by the courts of that jurisdiction. This does not deprive consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@taskbullet.app; most issues are resolved without formal proceedings.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription and delete your account.
